The GO9 connects directly to the vehicle's OBD-II diagnostic port. Installation takes minutes. For vehicles without a standard OBD-II port, adapter harnesses are available. The device begins collecting data from the moment the vehicle moves, with no manual configuration at the vehicle required.
Near Real-Time GPS Tracking
Location, speed, trip distance and idling data are captured using a GNSS module with GPS and GLONASS support. Data transmits over LTE to MyGeotab. Tracking resumes automatically from any location, including enclosed car parks, as soon as the vehicle is in motion.
Driver Behaviour Monitoring
Harsh braking, harsh acceleration, cornering, over-revving, speed and excessive idling are all recorded and scored. Engine-based seatbelt violation detection is available on supported vehicles. In Zetifi's workflow layer, these events are mapped to your fleet policies and trigger the appropriate alerts, tasks and records across your team.
Engine Health and Vehicle Diagnostics
The GO9 reads VIN, odometer readings and engine fault codes from the vehicle's on-board systems. Maintenance needs surface before breakdowns happen. Zetifi connects these events to your workflows so the right person is notified and follow-up tasks are created automatically in Planner.
Collision Detection and Reporting
The built-in accelerometer and gyroscope detect sudden changes in g-force consistent with an impact. Incident data is captured and uploaded for review. Zetifi connects collision events to your organisation's reporting workflows and notifies the relevant managers in real time.
In-Vehicle Driver Coaching
The GO9 supports in-cab alerts that notify drivers of infractions as they happen. IOX hardware add-ons can enable voice coaching, giving drivers spoken feedback during a trip without waiting for a manager review. Zetifi uses this coaching capability as part of a broader safe driving workflow.
IOX Expandability
The GO9's IOX port connects additional hardware at any time, including satellite trackers for remote area coverage, driver ID readers, hours of service loggers, temperature sensors and camera systems. This includes integration with the Geotab Go Focus Plus AI dash cam (see below). The device grows with your fleet requirements without needing to be replaced.
Works With Every Vehicle Type
Passenger vehicles, light commercial, trucks, electric vehicles and off-road equipment. 12V and 24V systems both supported. Operating temperature range is -40 to +85 degrees C.
Over-the-Air Updates and End-to-End Security
Firmware updates are delivered automatically. Security features include data encryption, user authentication, unique device IDs, rotating security keys and digitally signed firmware. The system is backed by a FIPS 140-3 certified cryptographic module (Certificate #3371).
